Rimer-Alco Compressed Air Dryers
The importance of dry compressed air
The moisture content leaving a compressor can cause damage
to equipment and pneumatic supply lines through the build-up
of scale, rust, dirt and oil.
Clean Oil-Free, Dry Compressed Air reduces these problems
and improves machine performance, reducing maintenance and
costly downtime.
An essential process in certain applications - Food Processing
and Pharmaceuticals, particularly - the introduction of a
Rimer-Alco dryer and compatible filtration equipment eliminates
contamination from the system minimising the risk of spoilage.
Our range of products can provide solutions to compressed
air drying needs in any industry, and our quality standards
are without equal. The range of heated or heatless desiccant
dryers come from a company committed to quality and with a
reputation for reliability which has become known and respected
throughout the world.
In offering a 'Format Option Package' rather than a none-flexible
range of standard products and filters we are able to provide
a precise solution to our customers needs in all environments
including offshore applications.

Heatless dryers are the most simple and cost effective
method for the removal of moisture from compressed air.
The basic operation is simple, efficient and, by their
very nature almost maintenance free.
However heatless dryers are purge reactivated and
air used in this process is lost to atmosphere, this
loss needs to be taken into account when sizing compressors.
Heatless dryers perform best when air parameters are
not excessive.
- Simple operation
- Low cost units
- Low maintenance
- Dew point better than minus 40 deg C
- Energy efficient

Heated dryers, are automatically controlled no purge
loss / closed loop units and are preferable in use where
customers chose not to loose valuable purge gases. In
addition, dew points are slightly higher than heatless
dryers.
However heated dryers are better at coping with larger
air flows and excessive air conditions.
- Simple to operate
- No purge loss / closed loop system
- Electric or Steam regeneration
- Suitable for use with Compressed Air, Nitrogen,
Carbon Dioxide and Argon.
