Why an Oxygen Concentrator

An on-site Oxygen Concentrator provides an inflation-proof supply of oxygen at minimum cost, whilst enabling the highest levels of quality to be maintained.

Rimer-Alco Oxygen Concentrators minimise gas costs and provide a reliable source of oxygen. This greatly simplifies procurement and enables the hospital to exercise controls which, hitherto, would not have been possible.

The Rimer-Alco Concentrator is a packaged and pre-commissioned primary oxygen supply, compatible with your existing oxygen supply lines. Installation can be completed with the minimum of inconvenience to existing hospital systems and becomes another source of hospital oxygen - your existing facility can be used as a back-up.

The plant can be sited in an unobtrusive manner - quite often in a location near existing cylinder racks or on previously used liquid oxygen container sites.

Quality

The purity of oxygen supply is of paramount importance. For this reason, Rimer-Alco Oxygen Concentrators have a built-in monitoring facility using high quality oxygen analysers. Deviation of oxygen purity outside pre-set limits results in the concentrator being isolated from the hospital pipeline and a standby emergency supply introduced immediately and automatically. Local and remote alarms enable hospital service engineers to act and quickly resolve any problems.

Low Running Costs

In order to maintain costs at a minimum level, Rimer-Alco Concentrator systems are designed to take advantage of the inconsistant oxygen demands in most hospitals. For this reason most system installations include a large storage vessel. The vessel permits high flows (in excess of concentrator rated output) for short periods and allows the unit to be shut down and re-started automatically during periods of low demand. This results in substantial savings in energy and increased efficiency.
